2015 Good Brick Tour

Imagine going to work every day in a fire station with a real brass pole and a museum-quality collection of firefighter's helmets. You can see what that's like during Preservation Houston's 2015 Good Brick Tour when you visit the award-winning adaptive reuse of historic Fire Station No. 6 (1903) at 1702 Washington Avenue in the Sixth Ward.
Or start your tour in a picturesque Tudor Revival villa (1928) in the Boulevard Oaks Historic District. Built by Katharine Mott, one of Houston's first woman developers, the graciously renovated house at 1635 South Boulevard is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Enjoy a weekend of discovery while visiting these and four other outstanding restored private homes and historic buildings not usually open to the public.
Advance purchase tickets are now on sale for $25 per person and provide admission to each location on tour. Purchase advance tickets online through Thursday, April 30. On the days of the tour, general admission tickets will be available for $30 per person at any tour location. Please note, tickets are not refundable.
All six tour locations will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3. Start your tour at any property and proceed as you wish. Be sure to pick up the complimentary Good Brick Tour Guide and map provided by Houston House & Home to make the most of your visits.
